Upgrading does not start you from zero
Every change is recorded from the day you sign up, whatever plan you are on. The plan only decides how far back you can look, so the week you upgrade you can already see the months behind you.
A downgrade deletes nothing
Lower limits apply going forward. A manual already using a paid template or password protection keeps working.

The questions people actually ask
- Am I billed per brand or per account?
- Per account. Your plan sets how many brands you may own, and each of those brands gets the full manual, member and storage allowance of that plan.
- What happens when I hit a limit?
- Nothing you already built stops working. Creating the next brand, manual or invitation is refused with a line saying which limit you reached, and everything on the page keeps running.
- What if I downgrade?
- The lower limits apply from then on. A manual already using a paid template or a password keeps working; you are not locked out of your own pages, and nothing is deleted. Anything over the new limit stays published and readable, and stops being editable fourteen days after the downgrade, until the plan covers it again or you choose which brands and manuals to keep.
- Can I cancel whenever I want?
- Yes, from the billing page, and the plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- Do I need a card for the free plan?
- No. Free needs no card at all, and nothing is charged until you choose a paid plan yourself.
- What happens to history if I upgrade later?
- Every change is recorded from the day you sign up, on every plan. The plan only decides how far back you can look, so the day you upgrade the months behind you are already there.
- Where does everything live?
- Application, database and files are hosted in Europe. Analytics are cookieless and aggregate, which is why there is no cookie banner on this site.
- Can I take my work with me?
- Yes. Design tokens export in thirteen formats, assets download as a brand kit, and the account page exports everything held about you.
