Your account, your data, and closing it
On this page
Your name, your password, your picture, how dates are written for you, a download of everything this account holds about you, and what closing the account removes.
WhereDashboard, Account
An account is not a brand
Your name
Display name under Profile is the name shown next to everything you do: in a brand's member list, on comments, on history entries and beside a version you saved. Press Save and it changes everywhere at once. It is required and it is cut at 120 characters.
One place keeps the old name: a section owner in Governance is typed by hand, so it still says the old name until somebody edits it.
Your email
You cannot change your email here. The field says Email cannot be changed. To change it, contact support. Write to support and it is changed for you. It is the address you sign in with and the address an invitation to a brand is matched against.
Your password
Under Password, fill in Current password and New password, then press Change password. The current one has to be right.
Changing it signs out everywhere else
Your profile picture
With no picture set you get your initials on a colored circle, taken from your display name. Under Profile picture, press Upload picture (or Change picture if there already is one) and choose an image file.
- A dialog called Position your picture opens with the image centered and zoomed to fill the circle.
- Drag the picture to position it, and use the Zoom slider, which runs from 1 to 3. You cannot drag the picture off the circle.
- Press Use this. The preview updates immediately.
- Press Save picture. Until you do, your profile is unchanged.
To take it away, press Remove and then Save picture. You are back to initials.
Timezone, date format and time format
These three settings under Date and time decide how every date and time in the app is written for you, and change nothing for anybody else. A Preview line shows the current moment as you have set it. Press Save preferences.
UTC onwards. Every time you see is converted into it: activity entries, comment times, version timestamps, invitation expiry. The same moment, written the six ways these settings allow, in UTC:
| Date format | 24-hour | 12-hour |
|---|---|---|
| DD.MM.YYYY | 09.03.2026, 14:05 | 09.03.2026, 02:05 PM |
| MM/DD/YYYY | 03/09/2026, 14:05 | 03/09/2026, 02:05 PM |
| YYYY-MM-DD | 2026-03-09 14:05 | 2026-03-09 02:05 em |
A new account starts on UTC, DD.MM.YYYY and 24h.
Dates you type keep the day you typed
Downloading everything you have
Under Your data, press Download my data and you get one JSON file with everything this account holds about you, named stylehub-account-2026-03-09.json with the day you asked for it. You do not have to ask anybody.
This is your personal record, not a backup of a brand. Brand content is listed by name only. For the whole of a brand, use Design tokens and The PDF.
Before you can close the account
One thing can stand in the way: a brand you own that has other members. It is never deleted from under them. Hand each one over to another member on the team page (opens in a new tab), or remove the other members. The form names the brands that are in the way. See Handing a brand over.
Download your data first if you want it. After the deletion there is nothing left to export.
Closing the account
WhereDashboard, Account, Delete account
- Press Delete my account. The form lists what is about to happen, with your brands named.
- Type your password into Your password.
- Type
DELETEinto Type DELETE to confirm. In capitals, or you get Type DELETE in capitals to confirm. - Press Delete my account permanently. You are signed out and returned to the home page.
This cannot be undone
Your subscription is canceled before the account is deleted. If it cannot be canceled at that moment the account is not deleted, and you are asked to try again in a moment. To cancel without closing the account, see Paying, yearly, invoices and canceling.
What closing the account removes
- The account, its sessions and its personal settings. You are signed out of every browser at once.
- Every brand you own that nobody else is in, with its manuals, its sections and its uploaded files. Its published manuals are no longer reachable.
- Your profile picture.
- Your name, taken off history entries, comments, files you uploaded, manual versions you saved and file versions you replaced.
What stays, and under what name
The work stays with the brand. A section you wrote for an employer is the employer's, so every record keeps its place and loses your name. Wherever your name stood, those records now read Deleted account. Comments keep their text, history entries keep what happened, versions keep their labels.
Leaving a team is a different thing
How long each kind of record is kept is in the privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
What only support can do
- Change your email. Support does it.
- Change a password you cannot remember. The form asks for the current one and checks it. If you do not have it, support has to help.
- Anything else about your personal data. Write to privacy@stylehub.cloud. Answers come within one month.
Still stuck? Write to hello@stylehub.cloud and say which page you were on.
